Mr. Henry Schorsch, Jr. celebrated his 87th birthday this past Saturday, July 1, while watching the Jourdanton 9 & 10 year old girls defeat the Lytle team 18-2 to stay alive in the elimination bracket. He was also invited to throw a celebratory first pitch, which coincidentally, was a strike. Mr. Schorsch was one of the original founders of Jourdanton Little League and managed the Giants major baseball team 49 years ago when the league was first chartered in 1957.

Jourdanton Little League Board members, Rita Munoz and Jennifer Carrasco, presented Mr. Schorsch with a birthday cake to commemorate this special occasion. All spectators were invited to share the cake, free of charge, and help Mr. Schorsch celebrate his birthday.
