Jourdanton Little League Minutes March 22, 2005
The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:21 p.m.
Thirteen Board Members were present to include: Rita Munoz, Oscar Munoz, Becky Gonzalez, Curtis Vickers, David Alviso, Rebecca Alviso, Liesl Hons, David Soward, Karen Pesek, Jaime Ramirez, Joseph Meyer, Gerald Zuhlke and Tammy Blalock.
Liesl advised the Board that the Inter-League had decided to standardize the umpire travel reimbursement fees throughout the Inter-League and are as follows: Junior Division: plate - $25.00, base - $20.00; Major Division: plate - $20.00, base - $15.00; Minor Division: plate - $20.00; Coach Pitch: plate - $20.00. Discussion of approved umpires our League will be using followed.
Rita suggested an additional fundraiser for Opening Day and provided a hand-out concerning same.
Liesl made the executive decision to have all Board Members wear a shirt on Opening Day designating them as a member of the League’s Board of Directors. League will purchase same.
Discussion and review of the proposed 2005 Inter-League rules took place. David S. Motioned to accept the 2005 Inter-League Rules as they were agreed upon by the League’s representatives at the Inter-League Meeting held on March 21, 2005. Gerlad 2nd. Motion carries unanimously.
Progess of the scheduled maintenance/improvements was discussed.
Rita suggested having the Board designate teams’ names for following year. She advised it would help to speed up the process of ordering uniforms.
Rita advised the Board that per Poteet, games would be played as early as March 29 on our fields. There was a general consensus among the Board that this would not be possible due to uniforms, playing fields and concession stand being ready prior to our scheduled Opening Day.
The next meeting was set for April 5, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
Karen Motioned to adjourn. Joseph 2nd. Motion carries unanimously. Meeting adjourned at approximately 8:50 p.m.
