JLL Elects New Officers

Jourdanton Little League held a General Membership meeting September 2nd and elected 12 board members for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. The new board met October 7th and elected three additional directors. Elections were then held and the board elected:

David Soward - President
Deanna Higginbotham - Vice President
Jo Ann Guerra - Secretary
Shellie Kaiser - Treasurer
Leslie Richardson - Player Agent
Karen Pesek - Fund Raising Coordinator
Carrie Huschke - Asst. Fund Raising Coordinator
Gerald Zuhlke - Equipment Director
Rodney Burch - Softball Coordinator and Safety Officer
Margarito Vega - Baseball Coordinator
Tawnya Burch - Umpire Coordinator
Crystal Lopez - Concession Stand Director
Daniel Alviso - Asst. Concession Stand Director
Orlando Carrasco - North Field Maintenance Director
Richard Vyvlecka - South Field Maintenance Director

The board then set capital improvement goals for the upcoming year as well as budgets for equipment, maintenance and capital improvements.Â Committees were also appointed by the president.

The board is also looking for anyone that may be wanting to donate a used but in good shape wooden backyard swing set they may no longer have use for. The league is slowly attempting to develop a "play area" for smaller children while their older siblings are playing baseball. If you have one you would like to donate you may contact league president David Soward at 769-2755. The next JLL board meeting is scheduled for November 4th at 6:30 p.m.
