Jourdanton Little League News
 Jourdanton Little League held registrations on January 24 and 26 and registered about 190 players. Though this number is low, the League expects to have more players register between now and try-out dates, which will begin in February. Although the League will accept registrations on try-out dates, registration forms should be submitted to the League before February 7. Players not registered by February 9 – boys, and February 10 – girls, will be subject to a $10.00 Late Registration Fee.
Try-outs will be as follows: Boys will try-out on February 7, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and February 9, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Girls will try out on February 8, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and February 10, beginning at 6:00 p.m. If a registered player is league age 7 or older and not protected by a Major, Junior or Senior team from last year, they must complete at least 50% of the try-outs; they must show up and complete try-outs on one of the dates listed above.
If you have any questions regarding whether or not a player must complete try-outs, you may call Rita Munoz, the League’s Player Agent, at 769-2580.
A special thanks goes out to the following list of individuals and businesses for helping the Jourdanton Little League complete one of its goals (finishing out a portable building for office space) for the 2004 Capitol Improvement Project. They are as follows: Placido Isaac – labor; Jaime Rodriguez (Quin City) – labor and materials; Jaime Ramirez (J. Ramirez Electric) – labor and materials and Brennan Klumb (Benz & Klumb) – materials. It is because of generous contributions, such as these, that the Jourdanton Little League will be able to meet all of its goals for the 2004 season.
